3 Nigerian Foods To Eat that Help Start Up the Detox Process for Weight Loss

I’ve got a question for you in today’s series on “Detox, Lose Weight, Reverse Aging SuperFast – 3”  which is: Is Your Body Acidic?
I know, I know…how would you know if your body is acidic or not? That’s exactly what you will discover in today’s article where I talk about Detoxification and your Food. I’m going to share with you how the foods you eat causes your body to be detox, the 3 effects of such foods and 3 detox foods you can start eating today to speed up weight loss.
Before we begin, here’s a personal testimony of a cure for mum’s 9 year old problem after she used a Detox program few months ago. It started sometime exactly 9 years ago with common cough. My mum coughed and coughed and coughed so hard yet all manner of cough syrups could do nothing for her. Then she went for several tests (ear, nose and throat test, chest, bowels, surgery in her throat etc) but no matter what drugs they gave to her, my mum became even more allergic to smells and dust.
This was someone in her 50’s who never had an asthmatic attack before suddenly began using all manner of inhalers, we even got her an oxygen bottle in her room so she used it whenever she was gasping for air. It was that bad. Talk about nebulizers, we had them all. From Abuja to Lagos to Kaduna and eventually to India, yet the coughing and whizzing and allergies didn’t stop.
Somehow 3 months ago this year, I happened on some detoxification information and gave it to my mum, she used it and within a space of 2 months, all allergies, coughs subsided. You won’t believe it. It’s a miracle something we were treating for 9 years suddenly got healed. It’s a miracle I tell you because we have prayed and prayed and fasted and fasted for this health challenge to go and now its finally gone!
Thanks to God for leading me to this miracle.
And so back to this question:

Is Your Body Acidic?

When you find yourself becoming bigger and heavier, that’s a sign that your body is indeed ACIDIC and you know what happens when your pour acid on something or a body, it deteriorates fast.
The reason your body begins to store fat is, your body uses fat as a protection against the overproduction of acids produced by our typical diet. Eating too much bread, meat, fizzy/carbonated drinks, coffee and sugar etc. causes the body to lay down fat to protect itself from the excess acidity.
But during a detox process your body becomes more alkaline, so the fat is no longer needed and begins to melt right off.

Detox Food #1: Cucumber: Cucumber is one of the best detoxifying foods. It is high in water and vitamin content  which cools your body while providing healing and hydration. Cucumber isn’t sold in pharmacies but it should be. In Chinese medicine, cucumber is considered to have heat-dissipating, diuretic, laxative, and detoxifying effects.
The first recorded medicinal use of cucumbers was in the 7th century. Its major uses continue today and include: the treatment of excessive thirst, sore throat, laryngitis, acute conjunctivitis, and burns.
Cucumber is rich in Vitamin C acid and caffeic acid, two compounds that prevent water retention. The skins are also high in fiber and minerals. They contain silica, magnesium and potassium. These minerals contribute to fluid balance while the fiber combined with plenty of water helps to lower blood pressure.
These cool melons are also known for soothing skin irritations like sunburn or puffy eyes and creating a glowing complexion. You may have experienced a cucumber facial mask or fresh slices placed over eyes to reduce swelling. They cool the skin and reduce inflammation.

Cucumbers are a good source of B Vitamins and carbohydrates that can provide that quick pick-me-up that can last for hours. They also keep the body cool during the day which helps eliminate the need for sleep aids at night.
3. Have an important meeting or job interview and you realize that you don’t have enough time to polish your shoes? Rub a freshly cut cucumber over the shoe, its chemicals will provide a quick and durable shine that not only looks great but also repels water.
 Detox Food #2: Brown Rice: Ah, this one! Brown rice is rich in iodine, potassium and essential minerals. It is a wonderful food to eat to detoxify your body. Using brown to detox also increases energy, mental alertness and can also be a very effective tool to shed unwanted body weight.
Detox Food #3: Cabbage: This is another excellent detox food. It contains numerous anti-cancer and antioxidant compounds and helps the liver break down excess hormones. Cabbage also cleanses the digestive tract and soothes the stomach, which could in part be due to its antibacterial and antiviral properties.
Calciferous vegetables like cabbage demonstrate powerful detoxification activity, including neutralizing some of the damaging compounds found in cigarette smoke (and second-hand smoke). They also contain a compound that helps the liver produce adequate amounts of enzymes for detoxification.
